As we all know, Christmas is here and another awesome year at Gracie Barra Calgary has come and gone. We’ve seen a lot of success at the club this year with a number of our best students winning in locally held tournaments and MMA events. Also, a few of us have received belt promotions; recently Mark Yana has turned blue!! Congratulations Mark!

Regarding the Christmas schedule, our regular classes end December 22nd, 2009 and will resume in the New Year on January 4th, 2010. There will be 2 open mat days during the Christmas break, December 29th & December 30th from 6pm – 8pm both days. So if you’re bored at home, or feeling a little heavy from turkey dinner, come out on these two days for a bit of rolling.

For unforseen reasons, the Annual Gracie Barra Calgary Christmas party will no longer be held at the previous location, it is now being held at Professor Russell’s residence. We will be showing UFC 107 Penn vs. Sanchez
